Sallisaw, Okla., March 31. – Ed Lockhart, Oklahoma bandit who was shot to death by Tulsa officers in a raid near Sperry, Okla., Wednesday, was laid to rest with military honors in the McCoy cemetery, five miles north of Sallisaw, Monday afternoon. Members of the Carnie Welsh Post, American Legion, of Sallisaw had charge of the burial service. The Rev. C.C. Wilson, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Sallisaw, officiated. A crowd of about 300 persons, including many veterans of the World war, attended the service. Lockhart's wife and several other relatives live near Sallisaw, where the bandit spent his childhood.
